Kingsman: The Secret Service is a 2014 spy action comedy film directed by Matthew Vaughn and based on the comic book series of the same name created by Dave Gibbons and Mark Millar. The film follows the story of a street-smart kid named Gary "Eggsy" Unwin, who is recruited into a highly secretive spy organization called the Kingsman. The organization is made up of a group of elite, highly-trained spies who work to protect the world from dangerous threats.
The film stars Colin Firth as Harry Hart, a senior member of the Kingsman organization who takes Eggsy under his wing and trains him to become a spy. Taron Egerton plays the role of Eggsy, while Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Caine, and Mark Strong also feature in supporting roles.
Kingsman: The Secret Service was a commercial and critical success and grossed over $414 million worldwide. It was followed by a sequel, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, in 2017.
